Do I have to do that all the time? It's a question I often hear, and even more than that, I'll hear like, Hey, cold showers, I'm never going to take a cold shower. Sugar? You want me to give up sugar and alcohol? No way.
On and on and on. I don't wanna do classes every day. I don't want to go for walks. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do that.
A couple issues here. Number one, how badly do you want to be fit, healthy, happy, move and live with vitality every day of your life?
Maybe some of those things you're gonna have to do, because that's how we keep our body moving. That's how we keep things vital. That's how we keep our energy up.
But there's another thing to consider. There's a lot of techniques. There's a lot of tools out there. You have to find what it is that's going to work for you. You have to discover the techniques. You have to at least give them a try. You may not have to do them, but give them a try, and you're gonna find out some things like... let's say for instance, maybe you started coming to class and you couldn't sit crosslegged down the floor, you couldn't do a pushup, or you couldn't do a wide variety of things.
If you had not been able to do that. But now you can, guess what? There are certain things... like me... cold shower, there was no way I was gonna take cold showers. But after having done it for a couple of months, I'm finding that I actually look forward to them. Every morning I take my hot shower, I lather up, I warm up, and then I turn the water to cold and I just savor it for 2, 3, 4 minutes.
My suggestion to is to just give things a try. You're gonna find what works for you. You're gonna find what doesn't work for you. Apply the things that work for you to your life and watch your life turn around.
