You may not be as old as you feel. I remember back in the day when I was young and my dad he read the power of positive thinking. So I read it and I thought, yeah, okay. That's, that's good. It is good to think positively. And there was another little book I read called As a Man Thinketh So Is He.

Now we've got some scientific facts and data behind that. There are studies that show as you age, if you're the type of person who believes as you age you're going to be sore and painful and you're gonna mentally degrade. If you're that type of a person, guess what? Your body says, okay, I can do that. I can do all these things to you as you age. They're gonna negatively impact your life.

But if it turns out, if you're a person who thinks as I age, I get smarter every day, I get stronger every day. Aging is actually something that is a blessing.

If you believe that, studies are finding now that the average person who thinks positively about aging lives seven and a half years longer than the person who thinks negatively about aging.

So if that's a fact, maybe it's time for you to start believing that as you age, you do not have to be sore, and old, and mentally impaired. That you can thrive.

I think Peggy and I are good proof of this. I mean, we're not real old, but you know, I mean, some people might consider us old. We're... I'm 69. Peggy's 71. But yet resilient. We move well, we feel good. We can't wait to get going every day.

We want that... We wanna share that with as many people as possible. We want everybody to understand aging does not have to be a death sentence so to say. I mean, we're all gonna die. Let's face it, that's that's not, uh, that's not up for debate, but what we can do is thrive up until our very last day.

You can... I'm sorry you CAN move better. You CAN feel better. Takes a little discipline... you know, you have to eat well, you've gotta move every day. You can't just sit on the couch, watching reruns of, I love Lucy.

So today let's work on this a little bit. Let's think about how we view aging and maybe it's time to change some of our misconceptions and start believing that you have everything you need to age powerfully.

Move well, stay healthy, be happy. Have an amazing life. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
