Do you wonder what I'm talking about?
I got up this morning, I was in a little bit of a funk... just wasn't ready to get the day going. Didn't feel a hundred percent, in fact you might've said I was grumpy and a little depressed.
So I did what I often do. I chose to do a tapping meditation... where I assured myself that it was safe to be happy. It was safe to experience joy. It was safe to be in the present moment.
I came out of that and I didn't really think much about it. I jumped in the shower. I got ready.
Then on my way to our Southern studio, which is about a 35 minute drive.... I just got lost in the color of the trees. The beauty of the day. And I realized I was happy.
How strange is that? I go from depressed to happy with a three minute meditation.
Then I said, why not?
Why wouldn't you do that? If it's that simple to make yourself feel better.
I guess we can choose to be grumpy. We can choose to be depressed. We can choose to just not feel good.
Or we can say, you know what. I choose to be happy. And if it takes me a meditation to assure myself that it's safe to be happy, that I don't need this unhappiness to protect myself. Then why not do it?
So my question to you is why not?
Why not give it a try. You can laugh at me. You can make fun of me. Do whatever you want to.
Give it a try, try a three to five minute meditation. I've got tapping meditations, you can just do a meditation on your own.
First acknowledge that you're unhappy. Assure yourself that it's safe to be happy and then choose happiness.
Move well, stay healthy, be happy, live every single fricking day with passion and purpose.
